The Adult Wellbeing and Protection in Sport (AWPS) course is a new training programme developed by sportscotland. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to recognise, respond to and manage adult wellbeing and safeguarding concerns within Scottish sports clubs and organisations.
While safeguarding training has traditionally focused on children and young people, this course places the spotlight on protecting adults (aged 18 and over), helping clubs create safer, more inclusive environments for all participants.
We are pleased to offer this course free of charge to all affiliated clubs and members. Places are limited, so we encourage anyone with responsibility for supporting adults in sport to book early.
We look forward to welcoming you to the course.
