2025 UK Armed Forces Scotland Team
This year only Scotland and England competed against the UKAF for ‘The Northamptonshire Cup’ and NRA Gold Medals on Friday 25 July, during the Imperial Meeting at the Bisley National Shooting Centre. Teams of 12 firers, main coach & 3 target coaches, 3 plotters, adjutant and captain, the UKAF Match is the combined score over three distances, 300x, 500x and 600x, with a maximum score of 1800pts and 360 vs.
The weather was sunny and dry with a challenging wind. Scotland fielded a development team, which was a mix of experienced coaches and some firers, with the majority of the firers under 25. The team was well prepared and adapted well to the team shooting processes that Scotland has implemented. The overall scoring was consistent between the ranges, with some notable individual scores. In all, it was very pleasing to see how the team worked together, and they produced a credible score against experienced and very strong opposition teams.
The team scores were as follows:
England: 1764 with 204v
UKAF: 1762 with 207v
Scotland: 1700 with 161v
