Scottish Representation on the GB Fullbore TR Team – Canada 2026
James Mehta, Bruce Logan and Simon Dickson have taken the camaraderie and success they've enjoyed as Scotland Full Bore Rifle Team stalwarts to the next level by representing Great Britain on its 2026 Tour of the USA and Canada. Mehta served as Captain, Logan as firer, and Dickson as target coach.
Camp Perry – A Tough Opening Test
The tour began with a twelve‑person friendly match at 800, 900 and 1000 yards against the United States at Camp Perry, Ohio. Logan went “clean” at 800 yards — as did all his teammates — giving GB a brilliant start. After 900 yards GB held a narrow lead, but large groups at 1000 yards allowed the USA to pull ahead, ultimately winning by seven points.
Camp Borden – Three Days, Three Historic Victories
At Camp Borden in Ontario, GB faced the USA and Canada across three consecutive days of intense high‑level competition. The team delivered outstanding performances to win:
- The Canada Match (short range)
- The Commonwealth Match (long range)
- The America Match (300, 600, 900 and 1000 yards)
Logan held his nerve to score a highly creditable 74.9 at 1000 yards in The Commonwealth Match with Dickson coaching. Dickson was Great Britain’s top target coach in all four team matches and top target on the range in the climactic America Match.
