Newtonmore Target club held their Air Rifle Field trial competition which is the first under the clubs new name, previously Badenoch and Strathspey Muzzle Loading and Rifle Club held at the shooting range near Kingussie.
Competitors started addressing long range audible targets then progressing to difficult close range bulls eye paper targets then moving on to various stages of reactive falling targets, which when hit in the center 2 inch will fall.
A further series of targets tested the most accurate of sportsmen and women who engage in the discipline and precision of this sport.
There were two classes that shooters enrolled in with some spring powered air rifles being over 60 years old, the other class involved pre Charged Pneumatic rifles which have a small air cylinder incorporated into the rifle eliminating the need to break the barrel to compress a spring.
