GP5 Wraps Up with Wind, Rain & Winning Shots!
The 2025 Rifle Grand Prix series came to a thrilling close at the ever-welcoming Alloa & District Rifle Club on August 30th and 31st.
Huge thanks to our hosts for keeping the power on and the targets steady—even when the weather had other ideas! With swirling winds, falling rain, and the occasional leaf joining the party, shooters had to bring their A-game and a bit of grit.
Day 1: 3P Drama & Precision
Saturday saw the 3P competition light up the range, with Neil Sinclair putting on a masterclass.
He qualified with a rock-solid 568 and an eye-popping 24 inner 10s, then held his nerve in the final to take 1st place and the GP Men's 3P trophy 🏆.

Silver : Kirsty Scott – pushed Neil all the way in a nail-biting final
Bronze : Ian Sellar

Day 2: Prone Battles & Personal Bests
Sunday’s prone matches were packed with fierce competition across all classes.
And the Medal Winners are….
Class A&B Final
Gold : Martin Sinclair – emerged victorious in a hard-fought final
Silver : Joe Docherty – finals specialist and now the proud owner of the GP Prone 2025 trophy
Bronze : Mark Ferrari – consistently finding the high 10s
Class C&D Final
Gold : Amy Wallace – showed the lads how it’s done with a commanding win
Silver : David Thompson – edged out Ian Sellar by a single GP point to claim the series trophy
Class A Open
Gold : Tom Ralph – smashed a personal best with a whopping 620!
Silver : Chris Stirling
Bronze : Jim Godsell – also topped the A&B qualifiers

Gold : Amy Wallace, ahead of David McKenzie who hit a PB of 607 (twice in one day!)

Gold - Derek Buist overcame some shaky sighters to take the win
