Day 8 sees shotgun take a break and the Women's Rifle athletes return as they look to repeat their success from the Commonwealth Championships in November last year. We also enter Day 2 of 3 for the Queens Prize Individual Final. There is also a look ahead to the Day 9 schedule which sees the full-bore athletes take a days rest after four straight days of competing but Scotland female rifle athletes are back for a second consecutive day, this time in the 3P, and the Women's Skeet competition finally gets underway.

STS is pleased to confirm details for its 2018 Annual General Meeting and the programme of sessions planned for its members during the day. The STS AGM will take place at 15.00 on Saturday 28th April at Caledonia House, 1 Redheughs Rigg, Edinburgh, EH12 9DQ. On the day of the AGM, STS has also scheduled a number of sessions that are free for members to attend.

Shooting Not Included in the 2022 Commonwealth Games
On the 21st December 2017 Birmingham was officially announced as the host city for the 2022 Commonwealth Games following the decision in March by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) that Durban failed to meet the criteria it had set. While this means the Commonwealth Games will once again be held on British shores, shooting was not listed in the sports submitted by the Birmingham bid which raised obvious concerns for STS and its members.
