2022 50m Grand Prix 2
28 and 29 May
Results
The weekend of the 28th and 29th May saw the second 50m Grand Prix weekend at the Denwood range. The wind was strong and variable and quite often the flags could not agree on which way the wind was blowing.
On Saturday we had the 3P Grand Prix. In the qualification Tom Diggle top scored with a 569, followed by Kay Taylor (556), Bethany Edwards (542), Sheena Sharp (535) Maria Maoileoin (527) and Iain Maoileoin (511).
The final was quite tight until we moved into the stand at which point things changed around and Tom and Bethany moved into 1st and 2nd places putting them into the Gold Medal match. After 14 shots, the Gold Medal Match was at a score of 14 points each so one shot decided the result. With Bethany shooting a 10.6 to Tom's 9.5, she won the final.
Seonaid McIntosh set a new personal best with a 589. Tom Diggle and Seonaid then succeeded in getting the points based medal match, which Seonaid won 17 pts to 5 pts.

The Prone Grand Prix took place on Sunday.

Thank you to RWS for providing the ammunition for 1st and 2nd place. It is very much appreciated.
The C and D class final was won by Amanda Puchalla, followed by Iain Maoileoin and in third place by 0.1 was Maria Maoileoin.
The A and B Final was won by Donald McIntosh with a score of 247.0 from Alan Gordon (244.8). Third place went to Lenny Thomson.
