Grand Prix 3
The STS Air Rifle Grand Prix series moved to Kincardine and the Alloa and District Rifle Club on Sunday 11th December 2022 for GP3. It was a cold day outside and inside. The event was quiet with only 12 competitors.
The class winners were:
Class A: 1st Tom Diggle, 2nd Bertie Galloway, 3rd Richard Townsend
Class B: Class B: 1st Graham Love, 2nd Finlay Love, 3rd Mark Joyce
Class C: 1st Lucy Richards
Class D: Class D: 1st Junsung Kim, 2nd Adam Kubiak, 3rd Ruth Love
In the final Richard Townsend took 3rd place and Tom Diggle and Bertie Galloway progressed to the Gold medal match, which Bertie won with 16 points to Tom's 10
With 3 GP's complete, Bertie Galloway is on 24 pts, Tom Diggle on 18 and Robin Law on 13.
Grand Prix 4
The STS Air Rifle Grand Prix 3 took place in Carlisle on Saturday 7th January 2023. The event had 8 competitors.
The class winners were:
Class A: 1st Tom Diggle, 2nd Rhona Love, 3rd Richard Townsend
Class B: 1st Graham Love
Class C: No Entries
Class D: 1st Ruth Love, 2nd Ross Donaldson, 3rd Junsung Kim
In the final Richard Townsend, took 3rd place and Tom Diggle and Rhona Love progressed to the Gold medal match, which Tom won with 16 points to Rhona's 8.
This gives Tom 30 points in the series, with Bertie Galloway on 24 and Rhona on 21. Robin Law could still tie the series as he has 18 points.
So this year the series winner will be determined by how well everyone shoots in GP5, which will be in Inverness on Saturday 11th February 2023.
