10m Air 2017 Postal Competitions: Round 12 & Final Results

An update on the results so far achieved in the STS 10M air postal competition up to Round 12:

Round 12 is the final round and still sees the competition in ‘best 10 out of 12’ territory.
Some very close-run final scores have altered some positions (especially in the handicap events) to make it a very exciting finale!

Championship Competitions

Pistol - Individual:
No change! Nick Pye (Tayside) has won the competition with Roger Saltmarshe (Tayside) in 2nd place and Ian Thomson (New Caledonian) in 3rd.

Pistol - Team:
The Tayside 1 teams has won with Tayside 2 taking 2nd position. New Caledonian kept their 3rd place.

Rifle - Individual:
Alan Thomson (Dechmont) has won the competition with Iain Day (Tayside) in 2nd place and Ian Stewart (Tayside) in 3rd.

Rifle - Team:
As the only team to enter the competition, Tayside wins the rifle Team championship.

Rifle/Pistol Aggregate:
Alan Thomson (Dechmont) has won the competition with Iain Day (Tayside) in 2nd place and Ian Stewart (Tayside) in 3rd.

 

Handicap Competitions

All change again! Handicaps are really making a difference.

Pistol - Individual:
Davy Kay (New Kypeside) has won the competition with Alan Hume (Tayside) taking 2nd place. A late surge by Billy McGurk (Dechmont) means that he and Susan King (New Caledonian) ties for 3rd place!
Of course, they will both receive medals).

Rifle - Individual:
A late surge by Bill Gordon (Tayside) means that he wins the competition over Ian Stewart (Tayside) in 2nd by only 1 point! Alan Thomson (Dechmont) takes 3rd place.

Fun Pistol:
Andy MacFarlane (Westfield) stayed in the lead to win the Fun Pistol competition. Anthony McLean (Tayside) takes 2nd place with Gregor Amos (Westfield) taking 3rd place.
