Bronwen Livingstone

Where in Scotland are you from? I'm originally from the Borders but now live in Glasgow.

What discipline(s) do you shoot ? I shoot the para event of 10m Air Pistol.

Which coaches have helped you get to this point in your shooting journey? I've been fortunate enough to work with a number of excellent coaches. In particular, Sonal Ramendra-Györik (Scottish Target Shooting) and Iain Aberdeen (British Shooting) have both been instrumental in getting me to this point in my shooting journey

How did you get involved in the sport and what was your shooting journey to get on to the performance programme? I was introduced to shooting whilst an inpatient at the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit in Glasgow in 2017. After my discharge I took part in the annual Wheelpower Spinal Games at Stoke Mandeville in 2018 and tried pistol shooting for the first time - and I was hooked! I regularly travelled to Stoke Mandeville to train with Disability Shooting GB and found a club in Scotland (Alloa and District) to join. Not long after that I won the DSGB Nationals and was recruited onto the British Shooting development pathway. In September 2019, I applied to the STS Performance Programme and was delighted to be selected.

Where you do your shooting? My home range is Callander Target Sports Club and I also train with STS and British Shooting at camps in Carlisle, Aberdeen, Newcastle and Aldersley.

What are your hopes and plans for the future in terms of your shooting career? It would be a huge honour to be selected to represent my country internationally.

Any other interesting non-shooting related fact about yourself that you would like to mention? I'm a keen crafter and love all sorts of textile and fibre arts, especially knitting and quilting.
