We are delighted to tell you that we shall be running a para event again this year on 28 March 2026 at the Cumberland News Rifle Club in Carlisle.
Yes, in Carlisle. We did not win funding this year and only heard this recently so are unable to meet the costs of the hire of a sports hall. Rather than not run the event at all, we have taken the decision to hold the event in an accessible club in Carlisle. We are very aware of the very short notice for this.
Holding the event in Carlisle also means that there is no need for air weapon visitor permit applications for shooters without a Scottish permit.
The event will be very similar to last year with a choice of 60 shot relays and a "demonstration" final to help establish the event in the shooting calendar.
The Event is open to all competitors with upper and/or lower limb impairment and those with a vision impairment who use acoustic equipment.
Please note : all entrants need to bring their own equipment to enable them to take part. We do not have any equipment available for this event at the venue.
The main categories and classes that you can shoot are
but we are happy to accommodate entrants who do not fit exactly in to the given categories.
There are two classes for Vision Impaired entrants who shoot Air Rifle. These are VI-S for Standing and VI-P for Prone. Both these competitions are mixed gender. There are no competitions for Vision Impaired Pistol shooters..
For those entering two or more relays your first 2 scores in the same discipline will be added to create an aggregate.
We welcome all shooters with a physical impairment. A national or international disability classification for shooting is not required for this event.
Entry Price is £18 per Relay. This entry fee is already discounted. There are no further member or other discounts..
