Derby Open Meeting 2023 - Match Report
12 members of the Scotland Gallery Rifle & Pistol Squad travelled to the Derby Rifle & Pistol Club 1999 from 23rd to 25th June to compete in the Derby Open. In total there were over 95 competitors, who submitted 950 scorecards.
Scotland had a clean sweep and won The Brownells Trophy (Home Countries Rifle Match) and both Long Barrelled Pistol and Long Barrelled Revolver Home Countries matches. Teams from Scotland, England and Wales all competed in the international team events.
Along with the team events there are also several individual events. Members of the Scotland Squad won 17 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 12 bronze medals at this year’s meeting.
