STS has been contacted by Police Scotland to advise that in 2022 they will be faced with a large number of club renewals which may lead to some delays or longer than usual processing times. As such, Police Scotland have asked us to advise clubs that if they are due for renewal in 2022, please consider getting applications in early to ensure applications can be processed in time.
Clubs should be aware that delays, while not requiring clubs to cease functioning or close it doors pending renewal, do mean that certain activities will not be allowed until such time as the renewal is confirmed.
The Scottish Government have been asked to issue similar advice and if we get any more updates from Police Scotland around processing times, we will be sure to pass these on to our member clubs.
