Following the First Minister’s statement at 2.20pm today, we appreciate that there will be many questions left unanswered due to the lack of reference to sport directly, especially as some reference was made in the Prime Minister’s statement earlier but whether these restrictions will be mirrored in Scotland is currently unclear.
Rather than speculate, we are awaiting the publication of the updated Scottish Government Route Map (at time of publication, the last update was 10 September) and the detail within this to understand what today’s announcement means for sport and the sport of target shooting in particular. We will work with sportscotland to interpret this latest update and we will endeavour to let clubs know as soon as possible, mindful of wanting to get something out ahead of this weekend, in case clubs have activity planned that they now might need to reflect upon.
