The Path to the outdoor range at the Denwood Range in Aberdeen covered in water following torrential rain

The weekend of the 3rd and 4th September saw the fifth and last 2022 50m Grand Prix weekend, which was at the Denwood range. It was a weekend of two halves. Saturday was a bit windy but dry. Sunday saw torrential rain with the "moat" making a return and tricky wind conditions.

Thank you to all those that helped during the season. Your help is very much appreciated.

Prone Results from Sunday 4 September

The Prone Grand Prix took place on Sunday and was well attended with 31 entries. There was a large group attending their first GP from Elgin Miniature Rifle Club, who we hope to see again next year.

There were also a number of people that have not been to a GP for some time and it was great to see them.

The Winners of the Open shoot were:

  • 2nd Alasdair Horne

  • 3rd Lenny Thomson

The C and D Class Final

Was won by Robin Thomson (609.1), followed by Amanda Puchalla (600.9) and in third place was David Thompson (593.8).

Even with a win in the final Robin Thomson was not able to catch Amanda Puchalla in the points table for C and D Class.

This year's C and D Class Series Winner is Amanda Puchalla.

The A and B Class Final

Was won by Seonaid McIntosh with a score of 250.6 from Lenny Thomson (246.9). Third place went to Donald McIntosh.

As indicated in the GP4 report Lenny Thomson and Donald McIntosh were tied on points going into GP5. Therefore, with both making the final, it was all going to depend on where they finished.

Lenny came second and Donald third.

This year’s A and B Class Series Winner is Lenny Thomson.
