Entries Now LIVE for STS Winter Pistol Postal Competitions

Following feedback from members about various aspects of the Winter Pistol Postal competitions, STS has been working hard with members, Match Secretaries and the competition organisers over the summer months to overhaul the information provided and improve the entry system used for our postal competitions. Key improvements include:

  • System has been designed to make it easier for Match Secretaries to enter multiple club members in one simple form

  • Ability to request an invoice for Match Secretaries unable to pay online

As a result of this work, STS is pleased to re-launch our Winter Pistol Postal competition programme, revised for 2022-23, taking entries for the following events:

  • 10m 60 Shot

  • 10m 30 Shot

  • 10m Sport 30 Shot

  • 10m Air Rifle 30 Shot

  • 25m/20yd Long Range Air Pistol

  • 25m/20yd Muzzle Loading Pistol

  • 25m/20yd Muzzle Loading Revolver

  • 25m/20yd Long Barrelled Pistol/Revolver

  • 25m/20yd Free Pistol

  • 25m/20yd Sport Rifle - Precision

  • 25m/20yd Sport Rifle - Standard

  • 25m/20yd Gallery Rifle - Precision

  • 25m/20yd Gallery Rifle - Timed & Precision

Our pistol postal competitions are open to members and non-members to enter, with prices for entering as follows:

  • Non Members - £8 per event*

  • Adult Members - £6 per event*

  • Junior Members - £4 per event*

*A processing fee will be applied by the platform for online payments

STS membership is open to everyone and starts from as little as £5 per Junior and £10 per adult. With Juniors generally receiving a 50% discount and adults a 25% discount on STS organised events, the savings from being an STS member soon add up and pay back the cost of membership in no time!

How to Enter

As mentioned earlier, STS has revised the system it uses for accepting entries to the postal competitions to reflect the fact that it is often Match Secretaries, rather than individuals, who enter these competitions. The new system also offers clubs the opportunities to submit entries and request an invoice be sent to the club treasurer (or other point of contact) in recognition of the fact that not all clubs can pay online.

2022-23 is the first time we have used this system but it has been tested with a number of individuals and Match Secretaries so we hope this attempt to improve the system will be welcomed by all.

The entry form has been embedded below but in case this is not displaying, we have also provided a link underneath to take people directly to the form:
