Get Your Nominations in for the Bob Aitken Service to Shooting Award

Bob Aitken

Bob Aitken

Following Bob Aitken’s death in October 2016, Scottish Target Shooting wanted to recognise the fantastic contribution which Bob made to the sport of Target Shooting in both Scotland and further afield. We decided that a fitting celebration of Bob’s contribution to the sport would be to have an award in his name – the Bob Aitken Service to Shooting Award – so we could recognise others who have served the sport over a number of years, just as Bob did.

As Bob’s own time in the sport demonstrated, there are so many ways individuals can help the sport, whether be as a great ambassador on the international scene, to coaching week in and week out at your local club or ground to get people into the sport.

The first presentation of the award was made in 2017 to Colin McEachran and in 2018 to Donald McIntosh and we are now inviting you to submit your nominations for the 2019 Presentation. Nominations are to be in by 28 February and the individual can be from any discipline.

Nominating is simple and it is possible to nominate yourself or to nominate someone else. Simply use the link below, scroll down the page to the nominate section and complete the form. We look forward to receiving your nomination.
