STS 10m Air Pistol Winter Grand Prix Series 2018-19

Programme

A series of five 10m Air Pistol events run on electronic targets. The competition is run in 4 classes and comprises of 60 competition shots to be fired in 75min. This is preceded by a 15min setup period and a 15min preparation and sighting period.

Extra Shoot
Subject to entry and range capacity the extra shoot is an optional additional 60 shot match. The winner of the "Extra Shoot" shall be the competitor achieving the highest percentage increase in score from his Competition one score, and shall receive a return of their entry fee for the extra shoot competition.

Final
Depending on range capacity and entry, the leading competitors after the qualifying match will shoot in an ISSF style final. The winner will be the competitor with the highest match score in the final.

Points
Points for the Grand Prix series will be awarded per the following table based on the competitor's position in the ISSF final. If the range does not have capacity to run an 8 lane final the competitors who would have qualified for an 8 lane final will be awarded points based on their qualification ranking.

If a competitor who qualifies for the final does not compete in the final then the competitor will not be awarded any points.

Medals:
Will be awarded to juniors for each competition.

Meeting Rules
The meeting will be run as far as possible under ISSF rules with equipment control advice available at each event. Equipment control rules may be waived in the lower classes at the discretion of the event organiser. The Range Jury will consist of any three people from the local organising committee and/or the STS Pistol AMG.

Classification

Class averages are shown below:

Classification : Integer Average

  • A Class 545 and over

  • B Class 533 to 544

  • C Class 500 to 532

  • D Class Under 500

Any competitor may be reclassified at the discretion of the Organisers.

Doping control
Scottish Target Shooting follows the doping regulations adopted by British Shooting, developed with UKAD. As such, the testing for banned substances may be carried out at any time. Please declare any medication at check-in before shooting.

Admin
The closing date for entries is the Tuesday before the event date. If an event is full, please select the waiting list and provide us with your availability and you will be placed on a wait list and contacted only if a place becomes available.

Refunds
Cancellations made after the closing date of the event (i.e. the Tuesday prior to the meeting) will not be entitled to a refund except in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the STS Office.

Reception
On arrival at the range please report to the organizer to take up your booking. Please arrange to be on the range in plenty of time to avoid missing your allocated squad as depending on entry and range space re-squadding may not be possible.
