Scottish Open Championships 2018

The weather was generally good over the 3 days with light winds resulting in the scores generally being high on both the Friday and Saturday. There was some light rain on the Saturday but remarkably it remained dry for the rest of the time.

The wind conditions then became more difficult on Sunday with direction and strength changing so the scores began to spread out, especially at 1000X.

The Lawrence Trophy Match was very close with England winning by 1 point, though this included a shot on the wrong target.

The David Hossack Memorial Trophy was won by Angus McLeod with a score of 150v24.

Steven Thomas won the Grand Aggregate and the Scottish Championship.

Tim Kidner won the Caledonian Trophy and the Bob Aitken Memorial Trophy (highest Scot in the Scottish Championship).

Well done to all and thanks as ever to all those involved in helping to run the event.
